For people still using a towel

You Still Do It On a Towel.

Half of our customers did too. Not one of them ever decided to. And if the towel is not keeping up with how much liquid is actually involved, there is a physical reason for that which nobody has ever explained to you.

A bonded membrane, not a spray coating. Liquid proof, not just water resistant.
3 layers, 460 GSM of fabric. Silent. No crinkle, no plastic sheet underneath you.
2-year leak-proof guarantee. Twice the guarantee the category incumbent offers.

No towel. No crinkle. No hospital look. No stripping the bed at 2 AM.

A towel laid across a bed
The most widely used piece of intimacy equipment in the world. Nobody ever bought it for that.

Every Love Blanket is certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, an independent laboratory test for harmful substances in textiles. We do not run that test ourselves and we do not pay for the outcome.

The switch nobody talks about

7 Things Towel Users Work Out Eventually (Usually After Ruining a Mattress)

We asked over 2,000 customers what they were doing before they found us. Half of them said the same word. This is what changed their mind, in the order it usually happens.

One

You have a specific towel for this.

It is not one of the good ones. It is older, or it came free with something. It lives somewhere guests will not see it. It comes out when the evening starts heading a certain way, and afterwards it goes straight in the wash. If it is not clean next time, you use the second best one.

Nothing about that is stupid. It is what almost everyone does. But think back to the very first time. Did you compare anything? Did you look anything up? Or did one of you just get up and grab the nearest thing?

That decision took about four seconds. It has been running your bedroom ever since.

Two

The second towel never worked either, and there is a reason.

A towel is a sponge. That is the entire design. It is built to take liquid in and hold it, and holding is not the same as blocking. A sponge that is full gives liquid back the moment you press on it, and two bodies are exactly that.

So it goes into the towel, spreads sideways through the fibres, reaches the edge, and carries on into the sheet. The towel is still lying where you put it. The mattress is wet anyway. Adding a second one doubles how much it holds. It does not change what it does.

Three

Then you buy something waterproof, and it still comes through.

This is the part almost nobody knows. Water is unusual. It has very high surface tension, which is why it beads up and rolls off a treated surface instead of soaking in. Most waterproof fabrics are built around that property, and the standard industry test measures it. The test is run with water. That is literally why it is called a water column test.

Water beads. Almost nothing that ends up in your bed does.

Lube, body fluids, sweat, massage oil. Every one of them has lower surface tension than water. They do not bead. They spread, wet the fibre, and find any gap the water never found. A surface coating can pass a lab test and still fail in a bedroom.

So when someone buys a cheap waterproof throw, uses it once with a lot of lube, and finds a damp patch underneath, they assume they got a bad one. They did not. They got one built and tested for the wrong liquid. That is why the Love Blanket Pro uses a bonded membrane instead. A coating asks liquid to roll off. A membrane does not ask anything. There is no route through it, and it does not care which liquid is on top.

Four

If you squirt, this is a capacity problem.

It arrives all at once, in one place, under the weight of two people. A bath towel holds a surprisingly small amount before it is full, and a full towel under pressure does not hold politely. It hands the liquid straight to the sheet.

A quarter of the people we asked have soaked through more than one towel in a single session. Nobody who has done that once believes a third towel would have fixed it.

Five

If you use a lot of lube, it is the opposite problem.

Lube is not absorbed the way water is. Silicone-based lube in particular sits on top of the fibre, spreads across the surface, and travels. The towel does not soak it up. It just makes the towel slide, which is the last thing anyone wants mid-position.

Anal sex makes this worse for an obvious reason: far more lube, reapplied, over a much longer stretch of time. A membrane does not care. There is nothing for the lube to wick into and nowhere for it to go but sideways across a surface you can wipe.

Six

The one that actually gets used is the one that never leaves the bed.

Waterproof pads from the medical aisle genuinely work. They also announce themselves. They crinkle, they look like what they are, and they end up in a drawer, which means they are never on the bed at the moment you need them.

Nearly one in ten people we asked said they had looked at waterproof blankets before and found them cheap or medical looking. So the Pro is built the other way round: 250 GSM flannel fleece on top, sherpa underneath, silent, and it looks like a blanket, because a product you have to hide before guests arrive is a product you stop using.

Seven

Half the people who own one came straight from a towel.

Not from a competitor. Not from a mattress protector. From a towel, exactly like yours, used for exactly as long, for exactly the same reasons. They were not looking for a better blanket. They did not know the category existed.

The instinct was always right. Put something between you and the mattress. The towel was just the first thing within reach.

What you are actually buying

Four things a towel cannot do, and the part of the blanket that does each one.

The barrier

A bonded waterproof membrane in the middle layer. Not a coating, not a spray. Nothing passes it, whatever the liquid.

The feel

250 GSM flannel fleece on top, 210 GSM sherpa underneath. Silent, because no plastic sheet is doing the work.

The upkeep

Machine washable and dryer safe. Delicate cycle, 30 to 40 degrees, low spin, no fabric softener.

The discretion

Looks like a blanket, so it stays on the bed. Ships in plain unmarked packaging with no logos or product names.

We asked our own customers

Almost nobody had bought anything for this. They had all improvised.

50.7% Used a towel before buying. More than three times any other real solution.
22.0% Used nothing at all and simply dealt with the mess afterwards.
20.8% Say they hold back during sex because they are already thinking about the cleanup.

Source: Love Blanket post-purchase survey, over 2,000 customers, 2025 to 2026. Percentages are of respondents to each question.

And the single most common answer to why people finally bought was not about laundry at all. It was people who wanted a real solution to the mess problem so their partner could finally relax. A towel deals with what already happened. It does not take the thought out of the room.

The towel is not costing you a wash cycle. It is costing you the part of the night where nobody is worried.

What it is made of, and what was checked

It sits against bare skin for hours. That should be tested by somebody who is not us.

The fabric carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100, an independent certification that tests textiles for harmful substances, with stricter limits the more skin contact a product has. It is issued by a testing institute, not by the brand.

The blanket is machine washable and dryer safe, so it is not a product you have to handle carefully to keep working. One honest note, since it is the thing customers mention most: it is thick, so it takes a while to dry properly after a wash. That is the single most common reason people end up owning two, and it is why the 2-pack exists.

Before you check somewhere cheaper

Five things worth comparing. Take this list with you.

If you buy elsewhere, that is genuinely fine. Just check these first, because they are what separates a blanket that works from a blanket that photographs well.

Questions people ask before buying

Why is it more than the ones I found for twenty dollars?

A bonded membrane costs considerably more to manufacture than a sprayed or laminated coating. That is most of the price difference. The rest is the fabric weight, which is what stops it feeling like equipment.

I squirt a lot. Will it actually hold it?

Yes. The membrane is a barrier rather than an absorbent layer, so its performance does not depend on how much arrives or how fast. Volume is what defeats a towel, because a towel has a fixed capacity and then hands the rest to the sheet.

We use a lot of lube, including silicone. Does that change anything?

No. That is the case a coating struggles with and a membrane does not, because there is nothing for the lube to wick into. It stays on the surface, where you can wipe it or wash it.

Does it crinkle or feel like plastic?

No. There is no plastic sheet in it. The membrane is bonded between flannel fleece and sherpa, so what you feel and hear is fabric.

How do I wash it, and how long does it take to dry?

Delicate cycle at 30 to 40 degrees, low spin, no fabric softener, and it can go in the dryer. It is thick, so give it more time than normal bedding. If you would rather never be without one, that is what the 2-pack is for.

Will anyone be able to tell what it is?

It ships in plain unmarked packaging with no logos or product names, and it looks like a blanket, so it can stay on the bed rather than living in a drawer.

What if it does not work for us?

Thirty nights to try it, a 2-year leak-proof guarantee, and a money-back guarantee. Keep the towel in the cupboard while you test it.

One last thing from me

You worked out what you needed years ago. You just used the wrong thing to do it.

Every person who put a towel down had already made the decision. Something waterproof, between us and the mattress, so the night does not have to end early. You were right. The towel simply was not built for it, and nobody ever told you why.
